Instead of featuring flagship specs like the Mi 9, the Mi 9T was created with the sole purpose of being a go-to smartphone for Xiaomi fans looking for a very affordable smartphone that almost surpasses the midrange mark.

Display and Design

The Xiaomi Mi 9T, despite being a less powerful smartphone than the Xiaomi Mi 9, improves on several of the features of the Xiaomi Mi 9. This is reflected in the way it is designed and shown.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T improves on the gradient design found on the back cover of the Mi 9. In my perspective, the gradient design here is a little more obvious and attractive.

This smartphone is available in three colors: carbon black, red flame, and glacier blue. This gradient design is only found in the Red Flame and the Glacier blue. The Glacier Blue has a black center with Glacier blue flowing out around the sides. whereas on the middle red flame with red spilling to the edges

Unlike the Xiaomi Mi 9 which had its trio camera system arrange on the left side on the rear recovering, the Mi 9T has its array of three cameras arranged in the middle, with its primary camera set apart from the other two cameras.

On this rear covering, there is a camera flash, Redmi, and Xiaomi branding.

The Cameras

The Xiaomi Mi 9T’s cameras have been fine-tuned to appeal to any smartphone camera lover. The Mi 9T has you covered for those rapid group photos/selfies as well as those well-planned creative images.

Depending on your ability level, the camera hardware and software included in this device allow you to generate a variety of unique videos and photographs.

In terms of specs, the Xiaomi Mi 9 and 9T cameras are relatively comparable, with minor variations. The larger camera aperture is the most significant difference in camera gear. Both the front and rear cameras on the Xiaomi Mi 9 have a larger aperture.

A 20MP pop selfie camera with an aperture of F2.2 is included in the Xiaomi Mi 9T. There is no selfie camera flash because of the pop-up selfie camera mechanism.

Although, for a brighter selfie, Xiaomi should have replaced the colored LED lights guarding the popup camera with White light. The Xiaomi Mi 9T has a software camera flash that can be used to snap selfies in the dark.

On the back, there’s a triple camera system with a 48MP primary sensor with an F/2.5 aperture and an 8MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and an F/2.4 aperture. A 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an aperture of F/2.4 is also included in the Xiaomi Mi 9T.

Hardware and Software

Although a smartphone’s exterior appearance is alluring, the underlying technical specifications are a crucial driver of your buying decision.

Thankfully, the Xiaomi Mi 9T outperforms the competition in terms of specs at this pricing point. Although the specs aren’t the most powerful, you can rest confident that you’ll be able to handle most jobs and play the game smoothly.

This device’s internal hardware specifications are in between midrange and high end. Whereas many mid-range smartphones use the Snapdragon 600 series chipset, the Xiaomi Mi 9T uses the Snapdragon 730 processor.

It’s an octa-core processor with an 8-nanometer manufacturing technology. An Andreno 618 graphics processing unit is also included in the Xiaomi Mi 9T.

6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, and a 4000mAh battery are included with the processor. The Xiaomi Mi 9T uses a USB-C port to charge and enables 18W charging.

Xiaomi MIUI has long been regarded as one of the most customisable ROMs available. The Xiaomi MIUI gives users a plethora of customisation possibilities. The flexibility to install ROMs that modify practically every aspect of the operating system is my personal favorite. On top of Android 9 Pie, the Xiaomi Mi 9T runs the MIUI 10 interface.

Connectivity

The Xiaomi Mi 9T has a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a USB Type C connection for charging and data transfer. It also has a fear field connection, dual-band wifi, and Bluetooth 5.0. (NFC).

Band 7,20,3,28, and many others are supported by the Xiaomi Mi 9T. This implies you can use 4G SIM cards from MTN, 9Mobile, Glo, and Airtel on this smartphone. Please keep in mind that his device does not support 5G.
