eBuyNow, the Motorola brand licensee and smartwatch manufacturer behind current Moto 360 models, is gearing up to release new Moto smartwatches this summer. And, according to a recent report based on a tweet sent by Felipe Berhau, it won’t be your typical cuisine. In fact, three new Moto smartwatches are scheduled for release in 2021. At least one of them will deviate so far from Moto standard as to be unrecognizable.
What details do we have for the new Moto smartwatch line-up?
The majority of the already-mentioned adjustments concern the timepieces’ aesthetics and design. The look of the Moto Watch, of course, is the most visible change for the upcoming Moto smartwatches. Because it’s a square design with only slightly rounded corners, this is the case. The Moto Watch will have an extended side button and a slimmer design than rival smartwatches on the road, according to reports.
The Motorola One Watch will be spherical and will be released at the same time. In reality, it will resemble the Moto 360 in appearance but with a thinner design and structure. Last but not least, the Moto G Smartwatch will be a little heavier.
In terms of further information, speculations suggest that the upcoming Wear OS wearables will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip. This is the weaker of Qualcomm’s two new smartwatch CPUs, with the 4100+ being the more powerful. If eBuyNow follows to its previous formula, the new watches will feature AMOLED displays, a slew of features, and plenty of RAM and storage.
Are these for real?
Normally, rumors about new devices should be treated with a grain of salt. However, Felipe Berhau claims that the devices were discovered in a PDF on the internet in this case. An official PDF created by the company, to be precise. Furthermore, Mr. Berhau claims that they were simple to locate and that this is not a leak.
While this does not imply that any of these Moto wearable designs are assured, it does lend credibility to the facts presented above. The release date for the new timepieces has also been revealed.
According to the self-described “world’s biggest Motorola collector and lover,” the Moto G Smartwatch will be available in June 2021. The Moto Watch and Motorola One Watch will be released in July. And any of these three could be among the finest in their respective categories.
