In terms of design, the Moto G8 Plus looks a lot like the Motorola One Macro. The rear has a glass-like appearance and is scratch and scuff resistant. This phone isn’t very hefty, but it is thicker than most at 9.09mm.

Motorola has employed a 6.3-inch LTPS IPS display with scratch-resistant Panda glass. The display is full-HD+ (1080×2280) with a 19:9 aspect ratio, which Motorola refers to as a Max Vision display. Moto Display, an ambient display option that lets you see missed alerts, is now available on the G8 Plus.

It boasts 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and is powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC. Despite the lack of an official IP classification, Motorola claims that the Moto G8 Plus is water resistant. The software is lightweight and closely resembles standard Android. There is no bloatware, and the default apps do not bombard you with unwanted notifications or advertisements.

The Moto G8 Plus performed admirably in everyday situations. We were able to multitask with ease, and the near-stock Android UI made it simple to get what we needed. We also had no heating issues. When gaming, the phone became a little warm, but not to a dangerous degree.

The battery life is adequate. We effortlessly glided by one day and into the next with usual usage, which included playing games, using the camera, and surfing the Internet.

A 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera designed for GoPro-style films, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor are all found on the back. The primary camera recorded good-looking vistas and close-ups in daylight, but it’s hit-or-miss in low light.
