Multichoice Africa’s Gotv is a pay television service available in Africa. Unlike Multichoice Africa’s other pay TV provider, DSTV, which is satellite-based, Gotv is a terrestrial digital TV service. As a result, there is no need for a dish or a ceremonial installation, lowering the cost of access. In Nigeria, Zambia, Uganda, Ghana, Malawi, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya, Gotv is currently available in a few cities.

Digital TV with no dish required
The latest Digital Terrestrial Broadcast Technology, DVB-T2, is used by GOtv. The broadcast mechanism is similar to that used by NTA and AIT, but it is digital and has higher audio and visual quality. Startimes, a digital pay TV service based on DVB-T, is perhaps the most similar service to Gotv.
Gotv Coverage
Gotv is a digital terrestrial television service, not a satellite television provider. As a result, the service is delivered via TV masts and is only available in areas where GOtv transmitters are present. GOtv is currently available in the Nigerian cities of Lagos, Enugu, Ibadan, Abeokuta, Benin City, Owerri, Akwa Ibom, and Port Harcourt, as well as their environs.
The main benefit of the GOtv configuration is that it does not require a satellite dish, resulting in low/no installation costs. You can install it yourself because it is plug and play. The GOtv transmissions can be received with any TV antenna.
Gotv Prices

Because GOtv does not require a dish, it is less susceptible to weather than pay TV satellite providers such as DSTV.

The GOtv standard package, which includes 25 channels and costs N1,000 per month, and the GOtv Plus package, which includes 38 channels and costs N1,500 per month, are the two pay bouquets offered by GOtv.
There’s also the GOtv Open, which gives up to seven free-to-air channels in exchange for a one-time non-refundable 6,600 Naira administrative fee.
