The Google Pixel 2 XL sports a unibody aluminum chassis with an unique coating that improves grip and conceals the antenna bands. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the 6-inch pOLED display, which boasts a dense resolution of QHD+. The colors are a little dull, but Google will be releasing a fix soon. The blue tinge, on the other hand, is rather unpleasant. It’s a single-sim phone that doesn’t have a microSD card slot. There are also stereo speakers that sound fantastic and a fingerprint sensor on the back that works well. It runs Android 8 Oreo and is powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor. Google has improved app speed and included new features such as Now Playing, Active Edge, and a revamped home screen and launcher. There’s a new portrait mode for both the front and rear sensors that does a decent job considering it’s all software. The battery life is good.
