Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series has influenced how India’s affordable smartphone market has evolved. The Redmi Note 3 (Review), Redmi Note 5 Pro (Review), and now the Redmi Note 7 Pro (Review) are all famous phones that upped the performance ante in the budget segment by offering strong SoCs around Rs. 15,000 each.
Redmi Note 7 Summary
The front and rear of the Redmi Note 7 are both made of glass, featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both sides. The phone has a premium feel to it, especially considering its starting price of Rs. 9,999. The 6.3-inch LCD panel has good color reproduction and a high brightness level.
The Redmi Note 7 features a dewdrop notch, chin-mounted notification LED, and a hybrid SIM slot. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, which provides excellent app and gaming performance. Although MIUI 10 continues to bombard you with advertisements and promotions, you may block the majority of them.
The Redmi Note 7’s 12-megapixel back camera takes decent daylight photos, but the AI may make colors look weird. The selfie camera’s low-light performance isn’t great, and neither is the video recording, but it takes passable pictures.
The Redmi Note 7’s 4000mAh battery will last you a full day on a single charge, and it also supports fast charging, albeit the charger isn’t included in the package.
