Remedy for NTA StarTimes reception issues

StarTimes is available in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Aba, Benin, Enugu, Ilorin, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Markurdi, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, Sokoto, Uyo, Yola, and Ibadan.

It’s crucial to keep in mind that signal strength varies depending on where you are in the StarTimes service area.

This is due to the fact that the Pay TV service uses the same terrestrial broadcast mast as a traditional television station. The signal strength and quality increase as you get closer to the StarTimes broadcast station.

As a result, areas further away from the StarTimes broadcast station will experience poor coverage.

A lack of reception will result in a variety of outcomes. One is that due to the poor strength of the NTA StarTimes signal reaching your TV, the picture on your TV screen will appear blurry.

Another disadvantage is that you will not be able to receive all of the channels. For example, instead of the over 30 channels offered by the company, several consumers have reported obtaining less than 20 StarTimes channels.

This is also due to a lack of reception. The final option is that no signal is received at all.

An external antenna is usually the solution in all circumstances. An external antenna, such as a Binatone antenna with an indoor booster (amplifier), will receive the poor signal and boost it (amplify) to a good strength and quality for your TV.

This will allow you to see and hear clear images and audio on your television. You’ll also be able to receive all of the channels.

Your external antenna can be purchased from the same StarTimes dealer who sold you the decoder, or from any trustworthy retailer.

An antenna with remote rotation capability could be useful because it allows you to adjust the external antenna for better StarTimes signal reception from within the house. StarTimes is presently advertising its suggested antenna for N2,500, which includes a connecting connection.

StarTimes is also promoting TVs with a built-in StarTimes decoder right now. The following are the prices:

  • 21-inches CRT TV ā€“ N22,800
  • 26-inches LCD TV ā€“ N57,000
  • 32-inches LCD TV ā€“ N77,000

StarTimes began operations in China in 1988 and now has offices in Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Guinea, Central African Republic, and Burundi.
