The Oppo Reno 7 is the smaller sibling of the Oppo Reno 7 Pro (Review), and it’s also cheaper than its predecessor, the Oppo Reno 6. (Review). Unlike the Reno 7 Pro, however, the Reno 7’s upgrades are primarily centered on the design. It gains a few handy features, like as expandable storage and a slightly larger battery, but the features and specifications remain mostly same from the Reno 6. Oppo Reno 7 5G Summary

The Oppo Reno 7’s fresh appearance is appealing. The phone’s rounded frame and curved corners give it a stylish appearance. The back of the Reno 7 has the same laser-etched pattern as the Reno 7 Pro, which looks good and doesn’t collect fingerprints. The 6.4-inch AMOLED display is the same as the previous phone’s. It offers a full-HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Oppo hasn’t bothered to update the Reno 7’s SoC, which is still a MediaTek Dimensity 900 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Oppo Reno 7 has the same software as the Oppo Reno 7 Pro. So far, the Oppo Reno 7’s day-to-day performance has been excellent. The SoC is more than capable of running common productivity and social apps. The increase in battery capacity to 4,500mAh (from 4,300mAh) appears to have improved battery life.

Overall, it’s a nice phone with no major flaws, but there are better feature-packed options available online that provide a lot more bang for your buck.
