Disney Weddings teased fans with sketches of the gown last month but now the icy dress has finally arrived.
Alfred Angelo debuted his new design when his spring collection hit the runway during Bridal Fashion Week.
The Elsa gown closed the show with faux snow falling across the runway… how awesome is that?
The “Elsa,” named after the Oscar-winning hit’s frosty royal heroine, is a flared sheath gown beaded from its sweetheart neckline down to just below its waist.
There, the dramatic embellishments fade to single ornaments, meant to mimic freshly fallen snow.
The dress also comes complete with a Watteau train, an extra piece of material that looks almost like a sheer cape—again a nod to the Snow Queen’s cartoon attire.
And the bride isn’t the only one who can be a Disney princess!
Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Bridal Collection is an adorable little blue flower girl dress, the unofficial Anna to complement the bride-to-be’s Elsa moment.
The little girl’s frock comes in the same shade of ice blue as the “Elsa,” and boasts a tulle, tea-length skirt, semi-sheer and a bejeweled bodice.
I love playing princess as much as the next girl, but for an event as big as a wedding, I’d be worried wearing the dress might end up being the adult equivalent of the time I cut myself.
